Assured practice benefits insurance
What's included
- Cover assurance - we cannot cancel, amend or restrict due to
claims or a variation in health (Assured Practice Benefits
only)
- Selectable benefit and excess levels, dependent on your
needs
- Capital and death benefits up to £100,000
- Nil week excess available
- Reimbursement of 'waiting period' following an accident
The policy provides protection if an insured member is unable
to work due to
- Jury service - for up to four weeks
- Accident or illness anywhere in the world
- Family illness
- Adoption or paternity leave
- A skiing accident
- Pregnancy related illness (plus you'll also receive a one-off
£5,000 payment on return to work following maternity leave)
- Stress and/or depression
- Suspension by the GDC, Trust or other regulatory body
Policy excess
- From nil weeks excess period
Key exclusions
- Any claim within 3 weeks of the start of the policy
- Medical conditions that have caused you to be off work for more
than 10 consecutive working days prior to the start of the
policy
- Suicide, intentional self-injury or the influence of alcohol or
drugs
- Some hazardous pursuits
