Recent press articles relating to the Swine Flu Pandemic suggest
that dental nurses may be drafted in to some NHS Hospitals, to
provide administrative or triage services. The hospitals could be
under enormous strain if the number of cases escalates as the
winter flu season continues and so access to additional health
professionals will be essential.
Whilst it appears the NHS is not yet at this stage, forward
planning is vital.
