Yes, the policy is issued on a General Insurance basis, so it has a cancellation clause. However, the Assured Locum Insurance policy clearly states that the policy will not be cancelled or amended by us due to a variation in health of any insured individual or due to claims being made.

The policyholder also has the right to cancel the policy. Please note that policy cancellations by Towergate MIA are normally only enforced due to non-payment of premiums.

No, our Assured Locum Insurance policy provides 'cover assurance' which means if you make a claim we cannot remove or restrict the cover that you already have.

If you return to work within 13 weeks of an absence and the same condition re-occurs, the same claim can continue with a nil week excess period.

Yes, we are very happy to support a partial return to work. For example, if a GP undergoes surgery and could only return to 2 sessions per week, instead of the 6 sessions, the policy allows you to claim for the 4 sessions that need to be covered.
